Since the world is supposed grow to a population of over 9 billion people within the the next 50 years, do you think that a man-made continent would solve the problem of overpopulation?

Have you heard of atlantis? It was a perfect civilization until the tides rolled in. If we can dry up enough of the ocean, one day, we'll find enough land for all!!!

No. Such a thing would radically alter weather patterns and we wouldn't know what places would be made unlivable afterwards.

It's better that people learn to quit making babies (but without using abortion) - common sense needs to prevail here.



Which of course means the population will continue to grow......which is why we need to find ways to inhabit other planets in space.

that much weight would cause changes in the pressure[.even of they could raise the earth to open air level]. on the earth, and probably cause earthquakes and such. floating.city's maybe. underwater city's will be there one day, off the coasts. as a place to live. suburbs, malls, etc.I dream also. of the future, sometimes.keep on thinking of the future.you may be able to change it for a lot of people. and of course yourself. good luck. in your endeavors

I sincerely hope not! Earth will probably take care of human overpopulation by extreme weather conditions and new viruses anyway

Nope, to expensive and the ocean is too deep.look to the stars! there is a lot of planets up there, sureley some of them are vacant!
