I believe you plug into the ignition and it beeps so many times.

Go to you local Walmart auto parts department or auto parts store. Get a tester that you plug into the car. A code will come up on the tester. Look in the book that comes with the tester. It will most likely be broke down by care maker. You then look up the code.

I think there is some but i have a windstar and it has an electric computer in its system (like most cars) that tells you if you have to have an oil change low gas and all that theyre making more and more cars like that so if you have a car thats too old there is no gadget like hat but if u got a decent model maybe they might be cheap (doubt it) but if they are it will cost you like 300$ to install it in the car

i own a repair shop,and any advance auto parts store has them,they don't cost much,good luck i hope this help,s.
