Can I find out anywhere online or do i have to get a platbook? Also where can i find out the city ordiances, and building laws. I need to know how many acres i need before i could build on that land?
Any help would be wonderful!

it is public information on all lands, properties, house ect. Call your housing athority, county court house, title building. There is a public listing on all the info you need to know. The city ordiances and building laws could be found publicly through your county listings. T

You should be able to go to the public works and get an ownership map. Crosscheck that with a search withthe register of deeds on the property to uncover any more recent changes in ownership.
You could probably call anyone in the county building inspections (if it exists) or public works to find out how much acreage you need to build.

call the city that you live in and ask for the land records

Get the address and go to the tax accessors office. They can locate the information.
