I have gone thru 2 rounds of interviews with a mortgage lender that went really good. the question Iahve is that my wife and I had 2 judgments on our record totalling $2,000. They were 4 years ago and they show paid. Will this affect my chances of getting the job???

It might. It will depend on how much the company check into your credit records and whether they will allow you the opportunity to explain.

If it looks like they are about to do a background check on you before making an offer (i.e. they ask for your social security number), then it is best that you tell them before hand. Explain the situation and how was it resolved.
