Boyles law states: pV = k where p is the pressure of a gas, V is the volume and k is a constant. Therefore p1V1 = p2V2

In a gas turbine there is compression and expansion (in the turbines). Boyles law explain why the gas path gets narrower as the gas is more compressed and whey is increased as the gas expands.

For compression:
V2 = (p1V1)/p2
As p2 is larger than p1 V2 decreases

It relates to the gas pressure and go's like this.
It states that if the temperature of a confined gas is not changed, the pressure will increase in direct relationship to a decrease in volume.
The opposite is also true -- the pressure will decrease as the volume is increased. A simple demonstration of how this works may be made with a Rubber balloon. If you squeeze the balloon, its volume is reduced, and the pressure of air inside the balloon is increased. If you squeeze hard enough, the pressure will burst the balloon. and .......
