to any of you that you didn't get to make that choice? SO if the person was pre picked from within a closed group, just how do you think that group will ever do what is best for us, when you realize in front you where left out of the person picking, many things that are failing in this country are due to the people running it, because they have no feel for what is really going on at the level of the average human, small and un-IMPORTANT factor, the much larger scope of money and profit and how to tax and the corp world are of the main focus, so tell me please as this never ending cycle contenues, how will things ever go in favor of the working class of people, that in the start of this nation they are who really made this nation what it was, how will the political grip on this country ever be broken, and the country be returnd to the people who live in it, you can't prove to vote will change any thing for us or our kid's can you? has it ever changed?? tell us what you think.

I would like to see just one time a person in charge of this country that was not under the control of the rest of the political underworld of crime that guides us now.

I don't know how to answer your question or offer a solution, but I totally agree with you and have often wondered about this myself. The whole system need to be changed and the average, lower to middle class citizens need people out there working for and representing their best interests. We really need to find a solution to this problem.

Voting in primaries is the only way to have some say in choosing the person you want . It's unfortunate but political campaigns cost money and that can leave some really good people out. Then you vote in the general election. It is unfortunate that we vote for criminals. We are not mindreaders and cannot expect to know everything that goes on behind closed doors. We vote in good faith and when we are disrespected, it is incumbent upon us to demand accountability and we can do that in the ballot box. It is the same ballot box that elected those that brought civil rights legislation, job safety, unions, public education and all of the liberties we enjoy. Not only the ugly stuff. So, keep the faith and vote your conscience.

The parties select their best candidates and that is as close as one person can get to a "pick". Just because you win a primary, doesn't mean you will win the main event!

You can vote in the primary of you choice. If you don't like the choices in the primary, get involved in the party of you choice an help select candidates to run in the primary. If you don't get involved, you deserve what you get.

It is called primary elections that is when both party's choose who they want to be their candidates. You and I should vote the people that we think would be the best person to do the job for the country.

I voted in the primary for our mid-term elections; that's how I had a say in who ran. My choices may have been limited to who had the money to campaign, but I still did have a say.
