He's not used to getting attention. He might just be feeling weird....that is why he asks you to look away.

YIP, I understand exactly what he trying to say,
Listen I have just been in a situation like that, I was talking with this girl and hey she mite JUST be listening right .. but she was just staring at me, I was a bit like ohhh frig why she staring me down like this.
I don't mind a girl staring at me .. but some guys just can't handle it. You know I asked this girl, what if you could make $100,000 a year, would you be interested?? She looked at me and said no, I won't be able to sleep. So you see some people just CAN'T handle certain things. It isn't you, you put another girl in the same situation to do the same thing and he'll respond the same. He just can't handle it.
Now ME, personally, I mean I was getting bugged the girl was staring at me because:
1. As a man I don't like that kind of attention, like I'll walk in a room, and I don't even want no one looking at me. But women different they looking for that attention. I don't know men just not into attention. I even don't like doing speeches because all the eyes staring me down, all that ATTENTION. I HATE all that attention.
2. I wanted to swallow to.lol. And I was hoping she'd look to the floor for just a few seconds, so I can swallow. I didn't want to do a BIG gulp in front of her.yips.lol
3. Maybe you real attractive to him, and he feels, if he stares in your eyes too long, he'll fall in love, and can't get your picture out his mind, when he goes home.
[TEST him out]
When you talk to him again, do this, look to the floor and talk to him, or turn your head and talk to him. This time do all you could to avoid eye contact, do all you could to not give him any attention. And let's see what he says then.:D

I think he thinks you want him and it's making him uncomfortable. Now whether it is good uncomfortable or bad uncomfortable will be for both of you to decide if both of you are single. If he or you are in a relationship cut it out.
