Definitley Tupac Shakur. I think he captured the essense of society while he was alive, and captured the essence of the struggle. When you listen to him you can picture in your mind every single word he is saying. When he was angry you felt the anger through his music, and when he was sad or happy you felt that come along as well. He was intellegent with everything he said, and while he contradicted himself sometimes, it was because he felt different emotions at different times. He was the realest lyricist I have ever heard, and musicians from all different genres of music have learned from him. So me personally would be 2pac (R.I.P.) Good question too!
