Looks as if at least one knows.

That 'o' should be 'Do"

I understand non smokers may find my habit offensive. But it is no more offensive than a person whom drinks and drives.

As a smoker I keep a least one window cracked open in my home year round. I also use several different air filters & cleaned every few weeks instead of every 3 months as recommended by the manufactor. I burn smoke cleaning candles.
I brush my teeth at least 4 times a day. I keep mints & gum handy.
I wash my clothes frequently. When I am out in public going to a meeting I either refrain from smoking before or use frebrez on my clothes.
On the other hand my cigarette smoke is no more offensive than the exhust from cars and busses. Also there are more cancer causing agents in vehicle exhust than my cigarette smoke.

My smoking did not cause a hole in the ozone layer. Can you say the same for your car?

Here, Here!

I was a two pack/day smoker until 5:20 am on Wednesday, October 4, 2006. That was the time when I put out my last cigerette and I walked into the hospital to find I needed open heart surgery that day to bypass five (5) blockages in my coronary arteries. Smoking wasn't my only vice that got me there, fatty foods with too much cholesterol was another problem.I have made and will continue to make lifestyle changes to reduce the risk of a repeat event like this.

You are correct. Smoking STINKS, in more ways than one!!!

Sincerely,
Terry

No. Cigarette smokers get used to the smell of the smoke and don't notice it after a while. There is a town not to far from my home that has a paper mill. I can smell that mill as soon as I get anywhere near the town. The people who live there don't notice it at all. Their sense of smell has adapted. Cigarette smokers are the same way. They don't notice that their clothes smell like smoke.

It is not always about being ignorance. Because of the continuous use of cigarettes, they damage their olfactory buds (sensory neurons in the nose that detect smell) therefore the don't really sense the smell. It is like when someone puts cologne/perfume on. After a while they won't be able to sense the smell of the cologne/perfume because their olfactory buds become accustom to the smell.

Of course we know it.
Funny thing is that I can smell what you had for breakfast, your bad B.O. that offensive cologne that makes me want to puke.
Try taking a bath once in a while!
Have you got any pets? Bet your house doesn't smell real nice to someone who hasn't.
What's your excuse, stinky?
All humans stink, take a ride on the local transit and then tell me I'm wrong.

The addition is to strong to give a flip . I know because I smoked for most of my life and now that I quit I can't stand the smell , when I was smoking I didn't smell it .

ya its so true..everything about them stinks....there are few who associates smoking with being classy, stylish, cool and macho..they are so wrong...my partner was a big time smoker once...now he smoke no more..he dont even get the urge...and one more thing one just cannot quit smoking by reducing it...if one decide to quit...they have to quit immediately..its difficult but its the only way...

Cigarette smokers are stupid. They think it makes them look cool. But in reality cigarettes make them stink, yellows their teeth, empties their wallets, makes others sick, and puts them in a coffin.
