The majority of people on this site who say they are against gays include it as part of "I'm against gays, you people are sick, disgusting, abominations in the eyes of God and I'm glad you'll all burn forever in Hell, I just wish I could send you there myself." We get that, day in and day out, non-stop, from Christians. When you say you are against Gays, that is what most gays and Bis hear. If you do not support us fine, by why do you have to be actively against us? Why can't we just agree to disagree and respect each others choices? By declaring your self "against", you rejected the possibility of peaceful co-existence, what else is that but an act of hate?

I tried to look for that question, and it isn't listed on your profile, so I can't say why people think you are homophobic from the question you asked before, but I can try to guess.
If you don't hate someone, would you do everything you could to make them feel unwelcome or unwanted? Would you try to invade their privacy and pass laws that hinder their ability to pursue their own happiness?
Being "against" someone is not a sign of affection or tolerance, which is probably why "everyone" thinks you hate "them."
Most people just want to lives their lives and be happy. Most people regardless of their sexual orientation do not want their orientation to dictate what rights or freedoms they may or may not have. Most people really don't care what other people think as long as they are allowed to live peaceful lives and not be forced to encounter hostility when simply trying to live their life.
I hope this helps.

It's like saying you're against people of a certain race having the same rights as white people. Homosexuals have NO control over their sexuality--read any scientific study on the subject and you will see this is true--and yet you say that you are against homosexuals! No wonder people immediately jump to hatred--you are against something that is beyond anyone's control.
You need to get some education on this subject...and fast. Otherwise, you will forever be in the ranks of homophobes and Fred Phelps-esque haters.
Homophobes are the ones who are doing the hurting here, not homosexuals.

Because you don't have a logical, valid reason to be against it. Who am I hurting by being gay? Who's going to die because I love women instead of men? If you're so against it, but you don't hate us, why bother saying a word? Unless you felt compelled to make a statement, and if so, why was that?
If you're against it because of your religion and you believe it to be a choice, fine that's on you, but understand this, religion is a choice as well, and it's protected under the constitution. Why shouldn't we? We're people too, and we deserve the same exact rights as you have.

Against it FOR YOU is one thing. But it's not you life, it's not your love...how can you be "against" it without some measure of hate?
If you're not part of the solution for all the hate, then you are part of the problem. It's really that simple.
Sure, abortion is not something I personally would choose for myself, but I am not about to tell another woman what she can or cannot do with HER body! I don't know her circumstances, I don't know what her health is or what risks being pregnant may pose for her. I don't know if her being pregnant is a result of incest or rape.
NO, I will not tell her what to do without knowing all the information...and even still...it's her decission.
My life is mine.
I don't ask anyone to live it for me.
I cannot help who I am.
I was born with an attraction to other women who also have an attraction to women. I can't change it. Trust me, I tried.
I was born left handed. Sure, I might suffer something that forces me to use my right hand, but it won't change the fact that I was born a lefty.
You may have been born right handed, so using your left hand is wrong for YOU!
But it's not for me!
Just as being a lesbian is WRONG FOR YOU, but it's not FOR ME.
Is that really a concept that is all that hard to understand?

To us it is the same thing. If you are against something that means you hate that subject, that is how people take that. I am not against you, so why be against me?

Maybe since they have no choice in who they they are they consider it a personal attack. There isn't anyone ignorant of the fact that people are born gay or transgendered.

It seems to me like you are trying to cope with what you really know is right. Just remember that just because you dont agree with somebody doesnt mean your going to be able to change their mind. Live and let live. :)

that is fine if you are against it. if you do, get out of this category. if you just hate and you are here, all you must be here to do is either bash or preach. we don't need it!
