TV is just the same..

1) UKTV now can be summarized in a few words for daytime- antiques, auctions, D.I.Y, property. In the evening it can be summarized by 'judge panel show'. X Factor, strictly come dancing, that Sound of music thing, figure skating celebrity whatever. Its all the same thing, its still a judge panel show where one guy plays the Mr Nasty Simon Cowell type, and someones booted.

2) Maybe the American shows can offer some relief. But not really ....How many USTV shows are based around the premise of 'young person with extraodinary abilities who must have to cope with real problems (family, relationships etc.) and not let anyone know their secret.' Shows that apply to this rule

Buffy
Ghost Whisperer
Alias
Smallville
Charmed
Sabrina The Teenage Witch
Point Pleasant
Dark Angel

I know why its all the same though. TV competition is so cut-throat that when a channel lands a popular show, its imitated by others, or they flog the idea to death. But how much longer??? please!

You will endure the same TV until you learn a very simple little secret: SHUT IT OFF.

If you do not enjoy it, do not watch!

Read a good book. Talk a walk. Play with your kids (or the neighbor's). Go down to your local, and talk to your neighbors. Take a nap. Read the news. Volunteer. Donate your time to a local charity. Donate blood. Visit your family or friends. Throw a dinner party. Look stuff up on the Internet. Make love with your significant other. Sew. Cook. Build something. Quilt. Crochet. Knit. Play cards (Solitaire, if you have to). Get in your car, if you have one, and go for a ride. Listen to whatever music you enjoy. Fly a kite, or, a plane! Do jigsaw puzzles. Take a class to learn something new. Garden. Buy a VCR or DVD player, and rent movies you enjoy. Join a group or club, or a local sports team.

Try Life Without TV.

You must be more careful -- UKTV is the name of a channel, so when you want to moan about terrestrial TV, say The BBC or ITV etc. UKtv does NOT show the programmes you mentioned, and starting this very day AND again, another tomorrow, there are two more US based stations coming on digi, so you should be happy with that load of old repeats coming up!!!

It relies upon what occurs from right here. in case you bear in mind Ramadan very last year, the scuffling with in the middle East were given worse at the same time as many human beings right here were declaring this is going to cool down throughout that element (i might want to ought to say Ramadan is searching to be in basic terms as undesirable of a time as Christmas). If we see extra of Osama calling all individuals (Why doesn't he contain places in Europe? there are countless places over there that are majority atheist) to rework or if we see an strengthen in the killings throughout Ramadan, then you actually will be listening to extra comments (unhappy to say). yet when we do not see a lot more advantageous than what we do see now, then it shouldn't truly %. up. i imagine truly some anybody is in basic terms getting drained of total element. Hate does that.

yeah, most of the us shows you listed are aimed towards a high school crowd. and some of them arent even on anymore. the gilmore girls is a fantastic show, survivorman (when its actually on), ghosthunters (new season just started), dirty jobs, the office, going tribal. there's lots of good shows here, maybe they're just not getting over to the uk.

As long as the TV programs keep on making money, it won't change.
