The money grabbing cow, get it back! Tell her she owes you £30, if she says she doesn't tell her wine doesn't cost £30 cos that's how much she's charged you for it! Nice mate you got there, I'd find myself a new one!

I guess she felt "entitled" to it. I would say the only amount you were obligated to pay would be equal to half the cost of the bottle of wine the two of you consumed earlier in the evening plus the cost of the food YOU consumed. For her to grab the money was tacky by any standards! Sounds like she could use a few lessons in the social graces. And she certainly doesn't sound like anyone I would want for a friend. From now on pay your way as you go and keep your money in your wallet....no matter what bargain she strikes!!

That is SO annoying. If that had happened to me I would brood about it for days. I dont know what to say really other than just try to write it off in your mind otherwise you'll develop bad feelings towards your friend. Just view it as a small price to pay for what I'm sure was otherwise a nice evening and a valuable lesson learned to keep an eye on your friend in future matters of finance.

My hubby is a bit flash and likes to foot the bill whether he can afford it or not. Maybe your mate was trying to save him from himself and intended to put the cash back in his wallet later.
Maybe she was just being a bit of a cow.
If it is upsetting you, you need to talk to her about why she did it.
It is a bit of a weird thing to do, but not worth spoiling a friendship over.

Put it this way - if I said give me £30 and I will tell you which one of your friends is looking to rip you off any chance she gets - would you say yes?
Maybe so because this time it only cost you £30......
Remember the lesson - forget the money - you would have given it to him anyway.

if her boyfriend offered to pay and didn't want your money then you should have got to keep it, how mean of your friend to take your money.. so you paid for her to drink and then you paid for her to drink and eat by her keeping your money... nice friend. i would tell her that that isn't what friends do and ask for your money back... then if she gives you a hard time, ask her if she really expects you to have to pay for her company, coz really that is what you did, she had a good night and it didn't cost her a penny!!

Because she paid for the bottle of wine.Plus she probabley feels that since her bf paid for the dinner that u owe her...Girlfriend let me tell u something about woman..What belongs to their bf's also belongs to them. But what belongs to them only belongs to them.Next time you pay for your stuff and let them pay for theirs.
