...."I can suck an orange through a hosepipe"....might work.
Always be honest in your CV, whatever else you put.

Have you considered taking on voluntary work? This is of increasing importance to employers - demonstrating that you are not only interested in working per se but that you are hard working and want to assist others who are less fortunate in society.
Not only can it be fun and rewarding - you can earn a lot in terms of experience and confidence. It could very much be a foot back into the ladder of employment - the problem with being out of the job market for a year (like you) is that some employers (wrongly - the short-sighted dimwits!) would assume that you have somehow forgotten how to function in a workplace. They would then choose another candidate who had been in work more recently, over you.
Prove them that they are wrong by doing some interesting and challenging work that will boost your CV and also put them to shame!

Are you applying for jobs which suit your skill set and experience? It sounds as if you are perhaps trying for jobs which aren't suitable matches. Unfortunately, most employers these days dont like to take chances on untried individuals and tend hire people who are already working in the same industry. I would suggest talking to a reputable recruitment agency and asking them to look at your CV for you. Most agencies will help you tailor your CV to better match positions you are being put forward to. There is no magic phrase, just a well presented, well written CV with relevant experience - I am afraid!
wishing you good luck

There are people who can produce professional CV's for you. I think that the jobbie centre can arrange this for you also.
Type up CV completion on internet and see what comes up.
Employers always like to see unusual interests so get involved with a local charity in the same type of work you are looking for - this looks good on the CV and shows you are a caring person. It helps if you can get a good reference from the charity !!!

A book I can really recommend is "Great Answers to Tough Interview Questions" by Martin John Yate.
It goes through the whole job application process from CV design to post-interview tips.
There is no specific phrase - just keep it short, snappy and relevant.
Good luck!

I find changing the cv for each job application works. Use the truth imaginatively within reason. One size does not fit all.
For each job emphasize the hobby/interest or job experience to suit the job. I found this helped the potential employer tick more boxes. Tell them what they want to hear basically within the realms of truth.
Here's something to make you laugh hopefully. My friend did undergo a job search questionnaire. She put animals/pets and sewing as her hobbies. It came up with her ideal career- taxidermy! Luckily she is a teacher instead.

In my opinion, the best thing would be to make it unique, to have something that would catch attention, like for e.g. "Hobbies: sky diving or cooking.."
Just make sure it will catch the employer's attention, and eventually, when you have the chance of getting the interview, make sure you give the best you've got.
Good luck!
