OK maybe ı dıdnt make myself clear. I wanted genuıne advıce and help from anybody who has had a baby ın turkey before regardıng hospıtal standard, procedures, ınsurance costs etc etc. I dıd not ask to be ınsulted and treated lıke an ıdıot - obvıously I know that childbırth happens all over the world but as a fırst tımer ı was expectıng a lıttle more help from members on here and not the answers ı receıved from my fırst questıon.

Sorry you feel insulted! Sometimes people cannot help themselves!
Anyway, the reason people did not offer the advice you were seeking is because they probably didn't know! I have no idea about the norm in the Turkish hospitals!!
But...
You can go to your embassy (or call them) in Turkey and they can give you names of Docs and hospitals, etc...They will also be able to inform you of anything you need to know regarding the nationality of your child and if you will need to register his/her birth certificate with them, etc...
If you know any locals who have had a child or know someone who has, you can ask them...You can visit some of the hospitals, tell them your concerns and see if you can get a tour. If you already have an OB/GYN they should be able to explain the standards and practices to you as well.

my friend is living in turkey (olu deniz)she married a turk 3 yrs ago they have a little girl of 1.she had no problems the hospital was fine maybe not as up to date as hours but clean and well run.the only problem she had was she doesnt speak turkish fluently and found she had to get her husband to translate a lot of what midwife was saying.you,ll be fine hope it goes well theyre daughter is just gorgeous.

hello in turky we dont have midwifes like in uk. my mum and my cousin went to private doctor when thy were pregnant.i advice you to go german hospital or american hospital in istanbul. theyr private hospitals but you can get some good doctors names and go to their offices.also more possible they can speak english. .. but public hospitals are good too.if you go private doctor your husbands insurance should pay half i think. better you tell your partner and maybe he can find out better
