Occasionally people tell me they are jealous of my open-mindedness and willingness to see past people's exterior.
In the other direction, I am jealous of some people's will power and strength. Never superficially. or of friends.

Phenomenal.
I'll bust a fella's jaw and put the boot in to him for so much as looking sidelong at my mate under some circumstances, and God help him if he plays her up. We have to be looking at pretty serious and grievous wounding for that.
Jeeze, I literally bashed a fella's head in with a house brick years ago for wolf whistling at my wife while I was walking toward her. I saw and heard the f**kwit do it. So I took a detour and damaged him so badly he would never be able to whistle again. That was part of why I ended up in prison one time under a 7.5 year sentence.
Worse? To this day I can't feel any remorse or pity or any of those things rational people are supposed to be able to feel. If anything, I'd probably batter him again if I saw him.
I just find it so hard to explain the rage and fury that falls over my eyes if I get jealous like that. I wasn't trying to hurt that fella, I really was trying to kill him. And I reckon I would have had his idiot friends not dived in so quickly and given me something else to beat up on until I ran out of steam and got overpowered myself. But that was quite a blood bath.
And over one whistle.
This is also part of the reason I shy away from having mates.
The more I think of them, the more of a menace I become to men around them.
Know of a cure for this?

When I was younger , alot. However since I have gotten older I find that jealousy doesn't factor into my life hardly at all.

It's hard for me to tolerate jealous people! I'm to old & I don't have time for all the drama anymore. I believe in live & let live for God Sake! Jealousy can drive you mad and I actually think in many ways it's a form of mental illness.

I don't get jealous too much, only over things that involve freedom...
I am on the receiving end a bit when it comes to my hubby, but I won't go there....

I went through that on a job for quite awhile and I do not like people to be jealous of me....the problem is quite universal it seems to me. Little things over what we do with our money I believe is our business, I tend to save mine and then when I want something I pay for it which makes some people jealous, however they could do the same thing, it is a matter of priorities.......................

Recently it has reared its ugly head, and I am on the receiving end of it. It's painful and consuming.

Not much. I do have a bit of a temper problem, but not really a jealousy problem.
