Everytime I start my computer, I get a warning messege saying that a duplicate name server exist. What does that mean?? Is it a fatal error? If yes, then how to fix this?

I also receive this message. I have 2 computers in a network in my house. When i first set them up and installed Windows XP i put them both in as my exact same name. When you turn the second computer on it says that. Because there is already one computer with that name on that network.

It means that two machines on the network have the same name. It's fatal as far as networking goes. Just change your machine name and it will go away.
