I type with the index and middle fingers of the right hand (the third and little finger on that hand aren't much use for anything but gripping. And only the middle finger of my left hand - again, the other fingers on that hand have been so damaged in a life of heavy manual work that they're not really good for much other than gripping.

I should probably also point out that I do have unnaturally big hands, even for my overall size - if I put my thumb on the left CTRL button I can just about stretch the little finger to do the up and down cursor keys. So even if I did have a whole set of working fingers, I reckon it would still be difficult to type properly.

So, I have a plug and pray computer, and a point and peck keyboard.

Great eh?

Well I know where you're hands are supposed to go because I took typing for years so I usually type the proper way.

Traditional typing. Numbers and symbols gets me a little confused sometimes though.

Go to www.typingtest.com; it can keep you entertained for about 10 minutes. I got 101 wpms.

It's a shamefully slow four fingered hunt and peck, though I tend to be accurate at least.

I'm traditional, but peek when using the top row with the numbers.
