All Dale JR fans are A#1 MORONS. But I guess we have to consider the source, his Daddy's fans. Dale JR would not even be in this sport if it wasn't for being able to hang on the coat tails of his Daddy (of whom I never did like but RESPECT very much).
People need to as fans be able to RESPECT drivers for their accomplishments. Lets see...... 75 wins, over 40 career poles, 4 Championships.... The statistics speak for themselves!! You can't no matter how much you may hate Jeff Gordon take anything away from what he has accomplished. He is and always will be revered as one of the sports greatest drivers!! And he deserves RESPECT. You don't have to root for him on Sunday but you IF YOU ARE A TRUE N.A.S.C.A.R. FAN must RESPECT him whether you want to or not.

I DO RESECT DALE JR, I just don't respect his fans!! They are bigger whiners than Jeff. I Admit Jeff Says some stuff he shouln't but he is just trying to be the leader on that pedistool that the sport has put him on because of his accomlishments!!

The Future Mrs. Tony Stewart : Your absolutely right, I can't force anyone to repect anyone, HOWEVER... What I was saying is that If you DON'T respect ALL drivers for their accomplishments, you ARE NOT a TRUE nascar fan. I am not speaking JUST of Jeffie Poo, I an speaking of ALL drivers from Kyle Petty to The King and EVERYONE in between. To post a question rooting for any driver to crash or have more DNF'S, is not showing ANY respect for the sport. Its ok to Like and root for other drivers, however to sit an whine about another driver (reguardless of whom they are speaking of) shows the utmost dis-respect for the sport and even the driver that they root for. So YES IF YOU ARE A TRUE NASCAR FAN YOU WILL AUTOMATICLY RESPECT ALL DRIVERS!!!

They ONLY cheer for Dale Jr. for ONE reason ONLY. Because he's the son of Dale Sr., who I STILL can't stand. If Dale Jr.'s name wasn't Earnhardt, I would cheer for him. I like his personality and driving style. The same goes for Kevin Harvick, they ONLY cheer for him because he drives for RCR and the GOODWRENCH car. WOW!!! The Nasty response from the Dale Jr. Fans just proves my point. If you don't cheer for Dale Jr. or RCR they'd rather kill you. I'm not a Jeff Gordon either, I see myself as a NASCAR Fan, I'm there to see a Race, NOT get yelled in my face. I lost my VERY favorite Driver nearly 40 years ago, and vowed NEVER to cheer for just one driver. From that Day until now, I AM A RACE FAN. Nothing more, nothing less.

I don't like Jeff Gordon..Never have..He was good back in the day but I can't say that lately. Anyway, I am a Jr. fan and pretty much a fan of all the other drivers except Hendricks Motorsports drivers. I think the fans you are referring to are all the young pups that heard about Dale Sr. and never got to see him race. They just know that he was a damn good driver and they figured they had to cheer for someone named Earnhardt. It's kind of like the Yankees, Lakers,49ers, etc. The teams were good back in the day so everyone new to the sport has to be a fan of the past champ. And since these newbies don't really know much about racing they chose the Earnhardt name. If NASCAR wouldn't have SOLD themselves out then you probably wouldn't have to deal with this new generation of idiots that are now FANS. It's not just the new Jr. fans either. It's pretty much every new fan of the sport. They are just kids, don't worry, they will grow up some day.

Respect is earned, not deserved. The New York Yankees are the most successful franchise in baseball, but they, like Jeff Gordon, have not earned my respect. I do respect his accomplishments. I do not respect the man. He comes across as arrogant, and does not respect others.

I do not hate Jeff Gordon. I just do not respect his attitudes.

A true NASCAR fan will respect the sport, and respect accomplishments. But only those drivers who earn it by their off track actions will have the true respect of a true fan.

I have the utmost respect for Jeff Gordon's accomplishments as a driver. However, in my opinion, his attitudes shade over those accomplishments.

I am a Dale Jr. fan. I was a Dale Sr. fan. I also have an I.Q. of over 180. And do not appreciate someone who will rant about respect, and immediately group people together as "morons" because they disagree with his or her personal feelings.

Respect begets respect. Your question shows none.

I'll admit that he is a great driver. I respect his accomplishments and his driving ability, but he as a person hasn't earned my respect . I can't respect someone who acts like he does. He is cocky and arrogant. Maybe if he starts manning up and admitting his mistakes instead of blaming someone else then I can respect him. He also needs to start respecting the other drivers on the track if he wants my respect. But I don't ever see any of that happening.

I'm a Tony Stewart fan, but I love Dale Jr too. He did not get into NASCAR just because of his dad. If that was true then Kerry would be driving cup races too. And you can't win 17 races and 2 Busch championships just because your dad was famous. You have to have talent

You Jeff Gordon fans refuse to give Jr the respect that he deserves.

**Based on what you said about Dale Jr, you don't respect him. You basically said he wouldn't be **** without his dad, that doesn't sound like respect to me.

i'm a die tricky Earnhardt fan, yet, i'm married to a die tricky Gordon fan! pass determine. i do no longer cheer whilst anybody crashes, even with the actuality that i don't sense actual undesirable whilst Gordon has motor vehicle issues (he-he), and that i does no longer waste a Bud to throw it at Gordon. yet i've got self belief the contention will survive with authentic motive force followers. i think thats why i'm no longer a "group" fan. each and every now and then it style of looks like a conflict at abode whilst they're racing one yet another, or its a particular race. So in answering your question, i do no longer think of plenty will exchange with the followers! The contention is exceptionally fierce interior the stands on the races i've got been to.

First off the only moron is you!
Gordon had his way BROUGHT for the cup racing. As the Busch ace (and I was a super fan of his) he was the one I pulled for to go to the top.He signed a large contract with Ford, but a certain car owner sued ford and brought out the contract. After that I no longer respected him as a driver.
As for Junior yes a lot of his fans were his fathers but most of his fans are in the 15 to 25 range, most of Seniors fans are in their 30's to 50's.
It is people like you that take racing as a beauty contest and do not realize it takes ALL 43 cars to make a race. When you see this you will be a race fan.Until then you will be one of the morons that think they know racing.

I am a HUGE Jeff Gordon fan and I understand exactly where you are coming from. Don't get me wrong, I use to not like Jr. as a driver, but as a person because I thought he was a good guy who had a good heart in him, but now I don't like him period. The reason is because I heard him say during an interview that he thought it was funny when the fans threw stuff on the track after JG's win. These were his words, "I thought it was funny [throwing bottles and cans on the track] I would have won, I deserved to." WTF? And not only that, but I also heard him admitting, over the in car radio, that he was happy when JG wrecked one time...in fact, he said it about Rusty Wallace once, too. I'm sorry, but people need to stop comparing what JG has done with what Jr. hasn't done, by way of trophies, etc. Jr. will never get on JG's level, not as a driver or everyday person.

And while you're listing JG's accomplishments, don't forget what he's done off the track as well. *There's another hospital opening or has opened.* Jr. can't say any of that. JG doesn't just do charity just to make a name for himself...he does it because he really does care, otherwise, why spend so much time and effort on it? Not to mention money.

Don't hate.

No one can take away from what he's done as a driver. I just don't like him as a person. If someone's going to complain about something, you can guarantee it's gonna be him. Just as in last night's race. The announcers were discussing how the drivers test during the day, but the race is run at night. It's been that way forever. And one of the announcers (I believe BP, but can't say for sure) said that no one has really said much about it except one driver who was very vocal in complaining about it. I thought to myself before he went any further, it must have been Gordon. And sure enough, his next sentence is "and that driver was Jeff Gordon." He's always complaining about bump-drafting, when everyone else's feeling is that it's just part of racing. However, if he ever bump-drafts, it's because the guy in front of him slowed down and/or checked up and he didn't have much of a choice. I think he always has been and always will be a BIG CRYBABY. And since this is America, there ain't a d@mn thing you can do about me having that opinion!

I don't think HATING anybody, the driver himself or his fans is showing much respect.
I personally do not like Jeff Gordon but I do respect him as a driver becasue there is no denying the guy can drive. But you know some of his fans are obnoxious to other drivers' fans too. I have sat by Jeff Gordon fans at NASCAR races and heard them trash talk other drivers too. Where is their respect?
I think Dale Jr deserves respect as a driver. He is classier than his dad, that is for sure. Dale Jr has NOT ever said he was as good a driver as his dad nor has he compared himself to his dad; the media has done that. He cannot help who his fan base is. Do you think for one minute that he is happy to have his dad's fan base? I seriously doubt it. I am sure he would rather have his dad alive than to have gotten his fan base as a result of his death. My point is that Dale Jr cannot help who is fans are anymore than other drivers can help who their fans are. Dale Jr. has won races becasue he has crossed the finish line first, the same way other drivers win races, not because of who his father was. All you Earhnardt haters need to quite whining about who Dale Jr's dad was. He is in the sport becasue he loves racing and he is a good driver and obvisouly Budwieser thinks he has talent or they would not be putting the money up they do to sponsor him every year. Dale Jr. will win a championship; maybe not this year but he will win one.
All the Earnhardt haters need to show some respect too. If you want respect then show some in return.
By the way you don't use JR after Dale Jr's name; the correct abbreviation is Jr.
