How do women view other women that are a dominatrix?

The reason I ask is because the Femdom lifestyle and culture has grown dramatically over the past 30 years or so. It seems to me that it has become a lot more acceptable today (at least in western culture), for a woman to allow her demanding side to come to the forefront. Granted not all women are or want to be dominant. However it seems more and more women are embracing this lifestyle

My view is "to each their own"...if all parties involved are consensual, of legal age, and happy being there, it's their business and no one elses...

I think a lot of the reason this is becoming more common is because for so many years women were 'behind the scenes' people, homemakers while the men brought home the money and told the women how to behave...now that women are more independent and working for their own money, a lot of them seem to have that desire to go to the extreme of dominating others (esp men) just as their fore-mothers were dominated by men and male society for so long...

I think it's more of a reaction to the freedoms we women have now, than an actual desire (in many cases) to be a dominant person...

I think it depends on the culture or community of the other women... I'm a BDSM-submissive model who's come into contact with Dominatrixes, and I view most of them as honest women who have found a sexuality and lifestyle that is truely liberating.

Personally I support them, but I wouldn't expect most women to hold the same views as I do.

I think it's rather cool. To each his own. Some women are meant to be very dominant and some men need a dominant woman.

I say go for what you know, if that is what you like and are comfortable with it good for you. Me personally, I like a man to be stronger than me and a little more dominating. As long as no one is getting hurt and everyone is happy who cares. It is all about personal preferences. That is my personal preference. But whatever works for each individual person. Who am I to say. I am a very strong women, work very hard, but i like my man to be in control. God bless

i think if you keep this quiet, this is not a problem. this has bene my life for the last 10 years. i enjoy it. it did tell a few friends. and i found out that it all depends on how you present your life to them to get acceptance or even be asked for advices.

As a woman, I don't find a dominating woman likable. Not that I am submissive but being overbearing is not a good way to act. My husband an I talk things over. I give my point of view; he gives his then we compromise so both of us are happy.

Are you referring to actual domination (having a submissive, practicing bondage and domination) or just women being dominant in society? In regards to being a dominatrix, I find it very empowering, but in order to be a dominatrix, one must first be a submissive. And that is a whole other ball o' wax! As for women being dominant in life, relationships, etc., I think it's great so long as their partner is fine with it and they aren't hurting anyone.

You have fallen prey to t.v. trickdom, my friend! Don't you KNOW that just because the t.v. says so doesn't mean it's true?! Just because it is being portrayed as such, does NOT mean it is so!
