CONFORMIST ALERT!!!!
why do you want to be part of the crowd when you can stand out?

Stop stereotyping yourselves. What you and the rest of your class thinks is punk and prep is probably wrong anyway.

And why do you care about fitting in with them? Just because you dress differently doesn't matter. If you have an awesome personality then they'll learn to accept you anyway.

First of all please please please don't change. While everyone in your class may be "punk rock" you will soon realize that the prep look is much much more widespread (even in the tiny itty bitty town that I live in the majority of "cool" people at my school are preps & I love being one!) & much more normal then you think. Besides I I personally think that a guy in A&F polo & jeans is extremely hott lol, if you are a girl then I am sure you would agree with me.

I personally don't think you should have to change who you are to be a part of another "group." So they're into punk rock, and you're not; trust me, if it's not your thing and you can't stand it it's not worth it to "fit in."

People can get along without being into the same things, we're all different and that's what makes us human. If you can find a way to get along just by being nice while still being yourself, I'd say to go for it.

im a punk, and as much as people like you can annoy me, you don't, because you dont seem like it. i think you should stay true to who you are, becauseif those kids are true punks they dont do it because others are doing it, because its the way they want it. if you dont want to take that advice, then try listening to punk music that you can relate too, i know a great artist name Michelle branch, and listening to michelle is maybe the first step most preps take to become punk, because micheele branchs music is pop-rock. try dressing up in our style too, but i really think you should stay yourself. you seem like the only nice prep i have ever been in contact with, so keep it that way!

usually prep with a twist of couture. Laid lower back on the same time as nevertheless being state-of-the-artwork. tender on the same time as looking stylish, lovable, and unique. previous college prep meets California Surf kind luxury. bright colours interior the spring and summer season, and darker, yet no longer muted colours for fall and wintry climate. it quite is my kind.

just be yourself. stop trying to be something you're not just because everyone else thinks it's cool. If you love Britney Spears and like to wear Abercrombie t-shirts, do it! Because you will never actually be a "punk" (which, by the way, is NOT NOT NOT fall out boy or panic at the disco or any of that crap), you will just be a generic version of the new popular culture, a fake and a fraud.

Don't change how you dress and what you like just to fit in with other people. Personally, I think the "punk rock" look is old, overdone, and tacky anyway, and most of the people who dress like that are posers. Wear what you like, and don't be defined by lables.
