It's a GOOD thing to NOT do everything together. It makes me sick when girls, even grown women, insist on their boyfriends going everywhere with them. Just because you're in a relationship does not mean that your partner enjoys 100% of the things that you do. Let them choose not to go if they don't want to!
Do you normally have to force or coerce your boyfriend to go clubbing? If so, that may be why you have a better time when you go WITHOUT your boyfriend -- because you're not having to worry about whether he's having fun or not. If he's usually there only because he conceeded, and not because he genuinely WANTED to go, you worry the whole time if he's having a good time. When he's NOT there, there's no worry and you can enjoy yourself. That's just one theory.
You could also be unconsciously looking for someone else, if clubbing is typically how you meet people. Depends on how often the two of you do things together vs. how often you choose to be apart. That usually determines whether there is a "relationship".

Apparently your boyfriend isn't confident he can trust you.Or you don't trust yourself to have fun in fear of disrespecting him.You should be able to enjoy each other in private or in the public.I like to dance so when I go out I get my dance on.However, I always carry myself with respect. I have my own style of dancing.I will start the dance myself set the pace if a male joins me he joins me with my groove.Or he can move on I usually get remarks such as baby you can dance.I am from the old school where we had dances and moves. We had clubs,The Embassy Ballroom,Odell's The Famous ,Caprez Lounge, Pascals, Giovancci we hung out and had Fun!! I remember Cyndi Lauper's song "Girls just want to have fun". We left sex for a more appropiate time in the bedroom or private place. We were naturally Sexxy, we let something to be desired. The Man gave you respect because he wanted to find out what was in the full package.

You have a better time without him there because for one you can feel a bit more free with the setting and atmosphere. Most couples don't go clubbing together. Most young woman that do go clubbing rarely take their boyfriends along if they have any at all. There is so little you can do if both of you are there, but if your without him you feel you can do what you want to do.

Because you and him probably were not friends before you starting going out; IF were JUST FRIENDS with your boyfriend b4 you went out then you would have more fun with him. But if yall just went out without being friends first then you are stuck in that mind set that this is just my boyfriend at that's it. To fix your problem you should do things with him that you do with your friends and just have fun with him OR it may be too late and you'll never be able to have fun with him

You have freedom to be yourself when you go out without him. Everyone needs time to be without their partner. Don't worry about why you feel good, just feel good. Now, if you're going out and making yourself available, that's a completely different story. But to answer your question, you're enjoying your time away from him, that's completely normal.

He may really not like clubbing all that much and goes out just for you. You may also fell less inhibited with him not keeping a eye on you.

I know what you mean! But when you don't have to look after someone and make him feel he's not left out when out with your mates its easier to dance the night away in your own wee world!! No one to send to the bar tho! Doh!!

Obviously clubbing is not his scene. It is yours, by the sound of it, just have fun without him once in a while.

Why do you enjoy yourself more when he is not there? Is it because you get more attention from others? Because if that is the reason, maybe your not ready to be in a relationship.

I think hes not watching you, and maybe you fear him criticsizing you, if you have a good time with your mates, girls can go a bit wild when they are together. Pershaps you are happier when he is not their, perhaps he is a miserable git, i don,t know, you obviously feel happier and more relaxed. perhaps its the people you are with.
