Being a heavy gambler myself. the only way to stop gambling is to lose every penny you have or win a rediculous amount that means you have no need to gamble anymore.
As the later is highly unlikely. Get him to give you all his cash to look after and give him a daily budget. If he wins with his daily budge he keeps that if he doesnt, he gets no more till the next day. Make it £20 a day or equivelant in Us Dollars, wherever you are?
Make him agree to this and your more than half way there.

You can't fix this - he has to. And he'll only fix it if he wants to. Gamblers are adept liers. Be prepared for him to tell you he's stopped, then find your money missing - or that bracelet your mother gave you or whatever.
Gamblers have very strong compulsions to do WHATEVER it takes to continue. You should have him contact Gamblers Anonymous if he really wants to quit. Then (this is the hard bit for you) tell him you will be his friend, but not his girlfriend, for the next two years. Once he's stuck with GA for that long, and has the proof that he's been going each week to meetings, consider getting back together with him. If you are living together, move out.
He HAS to find the strength to do this on his own, and if you are living with him, he won't. Instead, you will enable him to fall back into gambling, and it will ruin his life and yours.

u need to get help for yourself u have to take ur anger out in a aa kinda group, actually alcohol and drugs go hand in hand with gambling so just go to an aa meeting and learn not to enable him!!!!! honeslty and if it doesnt work after 5/6 weeks well then at least u can say u have made friends!!!!! just help urself first because he will not help himself even if u want him, he will deny it all and keep going untill he hits a really low an thats the best time for him to admit but get help for urslef first he will be shocked at how much u have changed and might realise he needs to change as well!!! ya know nay way good luck with what ever u choose to do
