I always think a great place to start with stuff like that is Wikipedia.org, go there and give the search engine the name of the person you need to learn about. You'll usually get quite a good amount of info plus reference links which can also prove quite helpful. You can also always just search the name and add the word biography or autobiography to the end of it in google/yahoo/etc.. Good luck to you

Simply, a biography is something that I or you would write about someone perhaps some one important....whereas an autobiography is something that I would write about MYSELF.. or something that YOU would write about YOURSELF
