I have a router that is used only for wireless internet. We have three computers and one of them is permitted to access the internet at anytime. However the other two are only allowed access between 11am and 11:30pm. Is there a way to bypass this setting without having access to the router settings? i.e. Changing some setting on on of the computers not allowed internet all the time? Thanks in advance.

I don't think so. You need to change the router settings.

Nope, you have to change the restrictions on the router. The router has it's own internal clock so changing the time on the computer will not have any effect. And if it's properly configured on the router, spoofing the MAC address won't work. Changing your MAC address to one that is allowed on the net will immediately be noticed as one of the computers will either be locked out or you will create other network problems.

If it's implemented properly, then no, you would need to change the settings or alter the time in the router itself... there's nothing you could do to the end systems to bypass this because their clocks are completely independent of how the router keeps time.

Yes. If the router is restricting computers by MAC Address, then you can spoof your MAC Address so that the restriction doesn't apply.

The opposite is also possible if the router is allowing 24x7 by MAC Address. In this case, you'll need to spoof your MAC Address so that it matches the MAC Address of the PC that's allowed 24x7 access.

Disable the router's scheduled port blocking feature and try using one of the 'internet lock' programs. These Internet lock programs password protects against certain Internet activities and support port blocking (the WWW uses port 80). Not all of these programs supports scheduling.
Just Google search 'internet access lock.'

Call your router company and tell them you want it fixed or you want to return it. I have four computers all with internet access 24/7. Linksys. Don't think your ISP is guilty but call them too if router folks say they have no control. Very strange.
