why do most people answer carrot,when you ask them quickly to name a vegetable?

It's an easy word to say and I think cos it's such a brightly coloured vegetable it instantly springs to mind.

a carrot is one of hte most common and cheap vegetables, also some people might remember the vegetable from early tv shows like loony toons; like if someone asks me that quesiton, I would name spinach; I have loved watching popeye!
It is basically a phsycological thing; it has to do withthe way the brain understands and remembers; which IS DIFFERENT for EVERYONE!
