Yes I have spoken to many a manager about rude employees. I have worked with the public and I know it is hard work but that doesn't give you the right to be rude. When I am a customer, I am civil and expect the same in return.

I am regularly treated rudely at stores, so I've come to the conclusion that it must be my own fault. Maybe I'm the one being rude. At any rate, no, I don't talk to the manager about it, and I don't even shake my head as I walk away. I just accept that that's how it is.

Yes I have! I try to be as tactful as possible. A manager cannot fix a problem, if they don't know it exists! Customer relations is part of their job description, and they deserve a chance to make it right. What ever happened to "the customer is always right?" People shouldn't work in the service industry, if they don't know how to deal with the public.

I confront the clerk & ask them what the problem is...this generally gets to the heart of the problem very quickly. I've only had to ask to speak to a manager a couple times & that was to challenge store policy on a faulty product.

Yes I was, but I did even better than speak to the Manager, I wrote to the owner, the clerk was fired, for running off customers

I have never complained about poor or rude service.
I always chalk it up to the possibility that the person is having a bad day.
Working in retail is one of the most under paid and under appreciated jobs there is.
Could you imagine having to deal with the public on a continuous basis.

I think we all have. I try to be polite through it sometimes, it does not work.
