i was only asking if anyone likes there job because im going to school for it in a few months?! what the hell was wrong with that question?!

Didn't see the first question, but I am an EMT and I love it! The pay sucks, and the hours aren't great, but I knew all of that when I started. It's not about paychecks and days off, it's about saving lives. Some people got and some don't. Good luck in school.

I was an EMT-P its is a very rewarding job. I love the aderniline of the fast pace. To be an EMT it usually is one semester or two and then take a written and a practicum to be licenecend it is very basic first aid. Paremedic school is generally a year or 3 semesters with ALOT more in depth training. Advanced life support with alot of hours in an ER and on the ambulance. You have to be an EMT before applying to Paremedic school. You can generally request do a ride along with your local ambulance service where you spend a shift on an ambulance observing. Then you can see what it is really like. Good luck

nothing was wrong with it, more than likely it was just one of the bored kiddies on here messing with you and wanting to get a 'thrill' from reporting someone...immature...silly...i know...re-post it. also if you go for the schooling for emt/para good for you, i have a couple of friends who are emt's (and firemen) and they love it. depending on how large the community you are serving its a 24/7 exciting job, doesn't pay a lot but its satisfying.
