make sure if you use foundation that you go one shade lighter then your skin tone so that you won't turn orange. Always blend all teh way down your neck so that you don't have a line around your jaw.
If you want a good look, the less makeup the better! maybe a light powder with a little blush on the cheeks and some mascara on the top lashes and light lipstick.
If you are still unsure go to the mall and pick out a makeup counter girl that has done her own makeup the way you want yours done and ask her for help....you do not have to buy the products she suggest just check out the colors she chooses for you. But if you wear too much makeup you will just look like a clown, so beware of the makeup girls that look like they work at a strip-club!

Well, my first suggestion would be to buy the following:
a tinted facial lotion close to your own skin tone
loose powder with a sable brush
a light rosy colored blush
clear mascara
an eyeshadow trio in the brown family with some pink undertones (since they look good on all skin tones)
an eyebrow comb
some lipgloss in a pink rosy shade
These are just basic items that everyone needs when they're beginning to put on make-up. As you get more experienced applying it you can delve into other colors and other products such as mascaras, eyeliners, etc.
Apply the lotion in a thin coat. This will give you some nice coverage without the heavy feeling of regular foundation. Lightly apply some loose powder and dust it over your neck also. Some blush, a little bit of eyeshadow on the lids (darker on the bottom, lighter on the brow bone)....some clear mascara on the top and lower lashes. A little bit of blush on the apples of your cheeks and some lipgloss. The perfect, fresh easy to apply face.

I agree with the lip gloss and mascara, and foundation is also helpful for giving you an even looking skin tone and hiding possible acne or anything like that.
I'm a teenager and I really don't wear much.
I always wear brown eyeshadow, enough for it to accent my brown eyes but not enough that people would really notice it. Although it depends on your eye color and skin tone, most people will look good with brown eye shadow.
Clear, black or brown mascara, depending on the occassion. For example, clear to school, brown or black if I'm going out somewhere like the movies or the mall.
I'm really pale, so I usually use foundation and cream blush, which is really easy to blend on your skin.
I very rarely use eyeliner, only on formal occassions like dances, weddings, dinners, etc.
Lipgloss is essential, and I recommend lip toner ( Burt's Bees makes GREAT lip shimmer, watermelon is subtle and prettty.) and top it off with a clear gloss or a sparkly gloss.
I recommend (did I spell that right? Sorry, no good with spelling) that you focus on your eye area the most, because that's the most important part of your face. That doesn't mean put MORE on that area, but beauty radiates from the eyes, eyebrows, and lashes. Then comes lips, skin, and color.
Hope I helped, good luck!

well sweetie... it totally depends on your skin but the most important thing is your skin, NOT your makeup. so to get the best look for your face you need to remember these things...1, cleanse 2, exfoliate, 3 freshen 4, moisturize, and 5 protect!!! all of these are important and you should be on a skin care routine that will address all these. now, you are ready to apply makeup and get GREAT... actually Fantabulous! results.
start with a foundation, tinted moisturizer, etc... whatever is gonna suit you. there is sheer, medium and full coverage foundations to choose from, and getting the one that is best for your skin is of utmost importance. full coverage is good for dry or problem skin, sheer is for someone who doesn't need much coverage, but the foundation is going to PROTECT your skin, so it is still important.
after that, it is just fun and games with the color!!! try a bunch of things and see what works for you. copy the celebrity tricks from a magazine, whatever! just have fun, and OWN IT!!!

I suggest you go to a makeup counter at a department store and have a professional guide you through the process.
But simple is always better unless you are a professional--mascara, blush, lip gloss.

Go for a natural look. Just use some foundation that matches your skin tone, a little blush, eyeliner, mascara, and some lip gloss.

mascara, some blush (smile and apply to cheeks), and a little natural lip gloss. if you want you can also use some eye shadow he trick is using a color that's opposite from your eye color like if you have brown eyes then purple or green and if purple goes great with green. as long as you use a little of every product you won't end up looking like a clown or anything.

Always start with concealer (if you need it) like on a zit or undereye circles. Or start with foundation if you have more problems than that. Then do the eyeshadow. I always do brownish colors kuz I have blue eyes. I think if you have green eyes: purple colors, and Idk about brown eyes. Then I put on the mascara. Sometimes I use eyeliner but sometimes I don't.

bit of eyeshadow try blending 1 colour with another start with a darker colour and blend it outwards with a lighter colour. dark eyeliner draws attenetion 2 ur eyes and really brings out the colour, a touch of marcara makes ur eyelashes look longer.
and ov course i touch ov lip gloss makes ur lips shine and look fuller.
hope that helps

The best thing you could do is go to Cover Girl's website. They have a virtual model page that you can set up to be similar to your looks.
