I normally don't get scared by horror movies, they are my favorites! But for some reason, The Grudge scared the crap outta me! And at the same time, I'm still going to go see the second one! It's very strange, the way scary movies draw us back again and again....

I try to avoid scary movies as they give me nightmares and scare me long after I finished watching them, so I haven't seen that many.
I did watch The Shining and I was SO glad I watched the recording of it the next morning, and not just before I went to bed!
Images from that came to haunt me as it was!
There was the time I watched The Birds - I had a nightmare there was a bird on my pillow and I woke up and was too scared to turn over and see if was true or not. (It wasn't, of course)

Dawn of the Dead! It freaked me out so bad that I didn't want to leave the theater for fear of being attacked and biten by a dead person. Once you got bit, you became a dead person biting people. This is worse than Night of the Living Dead.
All the other scary movies I can handle.

The Twilight Zone movie scared the bejezzus out of me when I was a kid. It was the scene with John Lithgow on the plane and a gremlin on the wing. When he opened that window and the face was -right there-....freaked me right out.
More recently, the Grudge had several bits that gave me the willies.
