First of all, you start out with 101 points on the first level, then you go to the second once you have 250 points. To GET points; you must answer questions and vote for best answers; there is a certain requirement needed and if you want to know those in more detail, click on your points. If your answer gets voted or chosen as the best answer, you earn ten points as well as two for answering a question. Everytime you ask a question, you lose 5 points, so start answering!

By answering questions (until you've reached your daily max, if you are a lower level member) and voting on best answers to questions...do not ask questions if you want to earn points, asking gets points deducted from you.
