Do the thing you fear most and the death of fear is certain.

I think that fear physically causes an overdose of adrenalin. This was helpful in the old days of fight or flight. When you have more than those choices, or have been trained by society not to do either of those, your mind and body disconnect and you freeze. This isnt true for some people, I guess experience is the only thing that will prevent it, its just that surviving the incident to get that experience is the problem, lots and lots of training help then you can go into autopilot so to speak.

fear makes people did not have the courage to face the thing or do the thing again so it paralyze people. I dont think one can prevent from becoming paralyzed by fears unless one can overcome it which is hard.

Panic or fear...... Panic attacks, or main fear...... In emergency some freeze up, others become cool and effective, and some go hysteric, and cowards run away..
Fear you must undergo without paralysis... An effective way to reason with that which you fear, is to acknowledge your fear as such and give it room, to go to the designated garbage disposal.... Anyone else another issue??

I think Tomhale has the best answer. Anxiety is a very natural and thing. We have it for a reason. When it becomes debilitating that is a problem.

Sometimes its important to know that we can't predict the future and sometimes we just have to be curious to what may happen and go with feeling.

When your fear takes over...it makes you see that specific fear in everything you do. I have a fear and it happens to me all the time. I wish I knew the answer to it. All I've been told is to go to a specialist to control it. Or get therapy. =( Sorry!

Sounds like you don't really fully trust God. You should never feel ashamed or guilty to pray to God. You can only be possessed if you allow yourself to be. Stand tall and know that as long as God is with you, and Jesus is in your heart, soul and mind. That you will be ok. Fear is just another thing that satan can use against you. Good luck with your cross. We all bear one.

when you do something you dont like, your mind remembers and tells you that its bad thus making you avoid it its the same with fear. when you had a bad experience your brain remembers it and releases the fear chemical if you will.
