No, It isn't a double standard. It is quite annoying when someone who cheats or otherwise acts inappropriately benefits, especially when it is at the expense of others playing by the rules.
Being a good person in every way is an ideal to be aspired to in order to establish and maintain a structured society. All fall short of the absolute mark, but it is our responsibility not only to be the best we can, but not to examine another's actions or motives, and possibly draw false conclusions.
When we do fall short of the ideal, it is important that we recognize our errors, and attempt to undo any negative effects on others, and atone for those which cannot be undone, and to learn the lesson so as not to repeat the same error in the future.
Good luck

When we are children we are taught that the prince will take Cinderella to the castle and live happily everafter. As an adult you learn that life is constant change and what matters is how you respond to the ups and downs.
When you need to make a decision, think of how you will feel the next morning. If you will feel proud of yourself and be a better person, then you have made a good decision. It's important to feel good about yourself and have self confidence and self esteem. That's what winning is all about. That's why they teach us to be good.
