One of the spouses has an affair and tries to justify the reasons? It sounds so childish to hear someone you know and love say this crap. Nothing could possibly ever justify turning to the "outside", right?

There is NO justification for an affair. If you want to find something outside of a relationship, get a divorce. An affair is the most selfish act one spouse can commit on the other.

There are no 'good' excuses, but there could be reasons such as feeling completely ingored in the marriage, no communication/connection, etc. Those kinds of reasons could be valid concerns for a marriage. But if hes just saying for ex.,"I had a bad day at work and I called you and you werent there", thats just lame.

NOTHING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING CAN JUSTIFY IT. IT IS CHEATING NO MATTER WHAT WAY YOU LOOK AT IT!!!! IF THERE IS TROUBLE IN A RELATIONSHIP IT NEEDS TO BE TALKED ABOUT. THE PERSON WHO CHEATED IS JUST TRYING TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THE OTHERS FAULT TO PUT THE BLAME ON THEM. AND THAT I CONSIDER A REAL JERK AND THAT PERSON NEEDS MENTAL COUNSELING BECAUSE THEY FEEL NO REMORSE FOR WHAT THEY DID...GOOD LUCK
