I have watched this trend myself, but its not just our goalkeepers, what about our strikers? They come to liverpool with great reputations and they just play like girls. Look at morientes and cisse. Morientes couldnt even buy a goal in two seasons!!! now look at him, scored 4 goals already for valencia in like 2 games!!! I really dont know what it is, maybe theres too much pressure on them to fill the boots of former legens such as dalglish, keegan and rush upfront, or grobellar and clemence in goal

The problem is not that they are a liability but that they invariably have too high standards to live up to. Reina came in from Villareal after a great season. He then slotted straight in behind a Champions League Winning Defence and set a record number of clean sheets.
However he was largely unnoticed despite these feats which meant that when he made a mistake everyone jumped on him straight away. He is a top quality keeper, as shown with a world class save against Blackburn. I don't think our keepers are any worse than the other members of the Big 4. I just think that people are waiting for them to slip up more than the others.

Kirkland was never a bad keeper bt it was his fitness which caused probs.James always made mistakes.Reina is a vry gud keeper n makes vry few errors d problmis dat most of the time his errors hav led 2 gols unlike sum keepers like lehman or seaman so dats why it seems like he is a bad keeper with poor concetration bt its only his judgements at times which is at fault.

We ( liverpool ) should learn to have faith in the keepers that they get rid of i.e friedel since leaving Liverpool he has been one of the most consistent and reliable keepers in the league! And for Dudeck he is a good keeper for he helped us win the champions league ( a big help ) instead of dumping him on trhe bench for the season!

Is right. But some do go on to be better keepers once they've left liverpool, like brad freidal
