Qualified people can't get work because of all the bloody immigrants.

And that poster boy Blair does nothing but smile and let it all go over his head.
Noone gives a damn for the working man anymore. Nye Bevan would be spinning in his grave.
God knows how much money being wasted on that stupid war in Iraq - Our Boys getting blown up by American troops in friendly fire and crazed Jihadists blowing up London all because Tony had to get into bed with his pal Georgie Bush.
We are completely shagged and unless we get a PROPER leader very soon we are going to go under.

There was a soldiers expression during the first world war which sums up the UK at present," Lions led by donkeys". The UK is not screwed, it just needs someone with the balls to run the country as it used to be run. Unforunatly at present all those eligable are labled as "non-diverse" if they speak of what most of this country really thinks and what they know needs to be done to set it straight.

I am 60years old, have worked long and hard all my life, brought 3 kids up and seen them all well started in life. I was looking forward to slowing down a bit as i have been saving for retirement for 30 years but this government has screwed me up good by taxing me to the point that although i am still working long hours and trying to keep up with my younger collegues, I am slipping further and further behind what i will need to have a comfortable retirement. All I can do now is to sell up and emigrate to warmer and cheaper climes. It is a shame but realistically there is no other option. So yes ..this country is totally screwed!!!

I work with a few guys from the UK. They seem to think so.
I couldnt say one way or another.
I will say this though. The Brits that are on Yahoo Answers are not a good representation of its people. The ones that show up on Answers are mostly looking to be abrasive and ignorant.
Ive been to London before and found them to be a good bunch of folks. Maybe a little stuffy but they enjoy a friendly UK-American rivalry just as we do.

The UK is totally screwed. Wherelse can you live, work hard and pay your dues for 50+ years and then get thrown on the scrap heap? But if you laze about, live off the state, or immigrate to UK you get everything provided for you? Why else do you think I moved out of the UK? The words 'rats' and 'sinking ships' comes to mind!

I do not know about totally screwed but the Brits do not seem to be as tolerant and broad minded as in the past.Like the rest of the world, there seems to be more hate in them.
