Seriously some of their non conference opponents like Western Kentucky, Wofford, Texas State, Duke, and Utah State. The only out of conference foes they have played that are ranked they have lost to USC, Michigan, Missouri, and Louisville. Is it the best conference, it cant be they seem to be top heavy but how good are their best teams, Auburn was beaten by Arkansas who got beat by USC. Vandy beat Georgia but Vandy got beat by Michigan so really come on maybe the SEC just sucks and isnt that great but when playing against each other they look good. Seems to me the conference isnt all that good, just a bunch of teams that are pretty even in their own conference until they step outside of it and play a top team from another conference and get beat up on.

Alabama has some titles, and really thats about it for history in that conference. The SEC is parity at its finest. Not trying to start a fight but the SEC sucks.

Nuke Lefties again in that conference Alabama is the only one with a history unless you consider having one national title a long history. So Florida by your estimation has a history of winning national titles year in and year out or has that only been in the last ten to fifteen years that they have been good.
So again why is the SEC considered the best conference this year. None of their big teams have played anyone good outside of the SEC, and yet I am to believe they are the greatest conference. Nobody in that conference is even undefeated, the Big East has two unbeatens that are ranked, the Big Ten has the Number 1 and 2 teams in the country yet I am suppose to believe the SEC is the best conference in football.

Not bringing Notre Dame into this, they dont play in a conference so there is no reason to even mention them. I also am not saying that without the Big Ten college football would die. I am saying that the SEC seems to be an overmatched conference when it comes to other big conferences. The Big Ten and Big Twelve are prime examples of conferences that are a few rungs above the SEC. Wofford, Louisiana Monroe, Utah State, Texas State powerhouse programs SEC teams have played non conference. The SEC is the fourth best conference in CFB.

Good teams in the SEC the Vols beat Cal outside of conference name another team in the SEC that has played and beaten a top 25 program outside of the SEC. The SEC teams are overranked based on who they have played. They can beat each other all season and then whine about how good they are but when most of your non conference foes that you beat are 1-6, or 2-4 I cant see them being able to lay claim to being the best conference.

The southeastern conference does NOT have the most championships!!! The Big Ten has '33' national title championships, while the southeastern has just '27'!!!!!
The Big Ten is a better conference!!!! meechigan has 10 national titles, Ohio State has 8 national titles, and Minnesota has 6 national titles. In the southeastern conference, alabama has 12 national titles, and no one else in the southeastern has won even close to as many national titles as Minnesota, who is THIRD in The Big Ten!!!!!
Go Buckeyes!!!!!!!!

How many other conferences can boast about having three teams such as LSU, Alabama and Arkansas in their conference....What other conference has 7 teams in the top 25? The Pac12 has Stanford and Oregon and it doesn't drop off from there?? The Big 12 has Oklahoma State and Oklahoma and it doesn't drop off from there?. The Big 10 has who? Penn State with an 8-1 record and was spanked by Bama. The ACC and Big East have how many teams in the top 15? Most overrated? I think not......

Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, LSU..... If you can't answer this for yourself you either have no concept of football or you're just trying to start a fight. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you're just trying to start a fight. What would the Pope think of that?
Hook'em!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Edit
Buy a clue!
Tennessee - 1951, 1998
Auburn - 1957
LSU - 1958, 2003
Ole'Miss - 1960
Alabama - 1961, 1964, 1965, 1973, 1978, 1979, 1992
Georgia- 1980
Florida - 1996
What was that about only Alabama having a few Championships? And I'm a Big 12 guy, but at least I can be honest.
Edit
I guess your right, without Notre Dame and the Big 10 college football would die. Homer.
Edit
I'd love to put the Big 12 above the SEC but that wouldn't be honest.

ok, michigan beat vanderbilt, louisville beat kentucky and mizzou beat ole miss - the three worst teams in our conference lost to arguably the three best teams in those three conferences. big whoop. plus - michigan barely beat vandy. Arkansas had to play the number 2 team in the country TWICE in their first 5 games! They one once and they lost once. How many other teams in CFB had to do that? And how many would've faired as good as a 50% victory margin?
in the SEC, we play a big game EVERY weekend in conference play. 8 of our twelve teams will be in bowl games. possibly as many as 4 will be in BCS bowl games
The other conferences have at best, 3 good teams. they are full of mediocre to bad teams that provide little to no competition to the good teams. put those teams in the SEC and let them play an 8 game conference schedule against the best athletes in college football then you will find out that the SEC is the premiere league in the entire country from top to bottom. Every league has about 3 tiers to it - the elite teams at the top, the mediocre teams in the middle and the bad teams at the bottom. i won't argue that the best teams in the big ten, pac 10, big east, acc - whatever - are not as good as the best teams in the sec. the difference is in the middle in lower tiers.
Our mediocre and bad teams are still full of elite athletes that are capable of putting together a good game on any given saturday. let michigan or louisville or mizzou come into the sec where their supposed EASY games are against south carolina, alabama, kentucky and ole miss. yeah, they beat ole miss. but its not one game. Its about the physical drain of competing an entire season against sec caliber athletes every week. there are no off weeks in the sec.

The SEC are you kidding me? Is this a joke?
Everybody knows the best con. is the big 12 and big ten take turns each year they might not win many championships (reason is because so many teams are good within there own confrences that they always compile a loss or two)

you have a point...however the SEC is a very good conf. not the best but very good. As you stated before they beat up on each other so the records dont reflect that. You have to judge a conf. at the end of the year by looking at their bowl records.
