That's not the case anymore. Fashion says it is now ok to wear white after Labor Day.

I HATE IT.
Technically, anything after Labor Day is BEFORE the next Labor Day--it's contradictory.

White is for summer and Labor Day is the unofficial end to summer.

It's an old tradition that was a popular fashion etiquette. It had something to do with not being able to wear white shoes or white clothing because it wasn't fashionable.
