how can i get my liftgate open on my 97 dodge caravan with the handle broken?

Now for the circus act climb over the back seat remove the hatch trim and look over the rods and linkages. The trim has hooks that point downward so lift up the panel after the pull strap and inside handle is unbolted you lift up to release the trim.
