Sea birds usually eat fish. But they never chew it, just gulp. So, do they taste gulping the fish and sending the meal alive to stomach?

Birds do not taste food but are attracted by color and shape or activity. Parrots eat hot peppers mainly because of the color. If you were to lay out some rubber worms where a bird could spy them (without scent or other attractants) the birds would eat them. Ostriches are very bad because they will swallow almost anything shiny. I almost had my finger taken off by a cassowary because I used to wear my university ring...it looked tasty to the bird.
