Immediate family (7 adults, 3 20-ish, 2 children) sharing Gulf coast house for 4 days at Thanksgiving. Lots of love (though somewhat dysfunctional). Hoping for a memorable experience, lots of fun and minimal drama. Oh, and finances are limited. Please share any insight, unique experiences or brilliant ideas! (Dr. Phil's house was unavailable.) Grateful!

Have a great Dinner for them. Get your Mother a Golden Diadem
(costume jewelery) that is the custom where I come from, the women gets a Golden Diadem she wears like a crown. Wait, it is called a tiara here, sorry. Make a big Billboard with all the family pictures on it, you can make it yourself and put it as a surprise in the front yard. You can combine the pictures on a Poster and print it on the computer. If money is tight, you can give them I owe yous, I owe you will wash your windows, will do ironing, will cook your Sunday Meal. This is a great present.and inexpensive and shows how much you love your parents, you are willing to make their lives a little easier. Good Luck and have fun.

Make a CD of music with inspiring songs to be playing when eveyone is together. Do so family research and find out what typs of music the couple liked when they met...get some of those songs, some remakes, and some more recent tunes, such as "You're Still the One" and "my Best Friend"...you can put 12-20 songs on a typical CD.

We just went to a party last night and they passed out CDs to everyone to listen to while they drove to the location of the party. It was such a COOL idea - and inexpensive!!!

Gather as many family and friends as you can and have a surprise party. Have everyone pitch in by bringing a covered dish and a few bucks to help cover the cost of the cake if needed. Plan a speech and have others plan one too. This will take up some time and make your parents feel appreciated.
