Me and most of the Nation

Islam might be stuck behind the times, but no more than any other religion. the troubles start in the interpretation of any religion. You will always get people that think their religion is the right one, which religion is the right one is anybodies guess. If there was a right religion wouldn't every body belong to that? At the end off the day we believe that there is a higher being that created us,I.E. God. As long as the religion shows tolerance and love it should be embraced by the devotee of that religion. I am a Christian, but not a practising one, as I do not go to church very often and I think there are many like me who belong to other religions who are the same.

You give Islam too much credit. Islam is stuck in the 7th Century. Anyone that thinks Islam and its Scriputres are peaceful are heretics. That is called Sufi-ism. Muhammed taught that Jihad is a duty and that it was a physical battle between Muslims and non-Muslims.

Muhammed was the Perfect example of Islam. He killed many non-Muslims. It is recorded in the Qu'ran and Sunnah. Either the Scriptures are incorrect or Muhammed was imperfect, or both are perfect and violence is a part of Islam. There are no other options.

No, I don't think it is. In fact, it seems to be moving somewhere quite rapidly at the moment.
Also, I wouldn't be so quick to develop your opinions upon government media. There is an overwhelming focus on a small body of muslims.. this 'civilization' inherited a culture where people were building cities and trading and learning a long time ago. Islamic government, if anything is suffering the transition from Kingship to Republicanism.

Islam is caught in one ambition of a single man, that named himself a prophet and that does so much bad to women. That is Islam, a bad treat for women, a slavery religion for one warrior man that wanted to have power taking religion as the best allied in his battles.
