This moment is your now.
It is all the time in the world.
You carry it with you till eternity
this moment is for ever,
its all the time you have
Everything is nothing.
All time is no time every time any time is not now.

As I understand the theory of relativity (I'm no Einstein, so take this with a grain of salt), space and time are a continuum. This means that they are extensions of the same reality and not totally different thing. Time is, in fact, the fourth dimension. This means that time is relative, which can be different at certain speeds when moving through space - as opposed to being an absolute. Einstein believed (and appears to be right according to modern research) that because of this, when objects moved at very high speed (approaching the speed of light), their passage through time would slow down.
For example, if I stay here on earth, and you enter a device that allows you to move at half the speed of light for an hour, by the time you stop, an hour will have passed for me, but for you, the time elapsed will have been less than an hour. At the speed of light (the fastest possible), time stops completely. So that while you may travel 4 000 light years and find earth has undergone 4 000 years of history, you wouldn't have aged a day. The trip would have seemed instantaneous to you.
As I understand this theory, it is, however, impossible to actually go back in time. The most you can do is stop time for yourself at the speed of light.

first and foremost i would like to point out that this is for a philosophy class so youre not supposed to have a definitive answer. its all theory, and its all based on presumption. with that being said.........it is my belief that time is relative to the person experiencing it. therefore this makes time a concept, not a reality. the thought of other "you's" running around does not approach the dimension of time but rather the existence or multiple dimensions. in order for time to move backwards it has to be a measured rate. but that cant occur until we find a way to compare time to something else, rather than comparing things to time. in order for something to have direction, it has to be proven that there is motion in the first place. since time is not a proven constant (just assumed) it does not technically "move" anywhere. it just exists. now having told you my opinion on all of this, for a very interesting read try searching for the concept "string theory" and read your hearts content out. you will find interesting information covering your question and more than you can imagine.

Are you asking about the Chronological time? then it is the movement of our earth around the sun, the growth and dying of organism, the distance from here to there, the movement from here to there , those are chronological time.
The other time is the psychological time, the past , the present and the future this happening inside our confused mind.

Time is a part of the illusion of human experience. If one transcends the mind, experiencing ones unity with GOD in the Devine light of UNCONDITIONAL LOVE you will see that time does not exist, only eternal "NOW",enter back into human experience you can not explain any of the experience. I believe reincarnation can be forward or back in time.
