Personally I like www.freetranslation.com, however it is not good at all for translating complete sentences. I use as a dictionary to look up words here and there.
On line translators do not work well because one word can have different meanings. For example; in English we may say "write back" but when you type that in you get the Spanish word for your back (body part). If you want to type that the machine jams... you get the word for jam that is jelly.
Your best bet is to find someone to do it for you, that is if you want it to be correct.

Many students at my school use http://babelfish.altavista.com/ for their translation needs, but it has a tendency to give you answers that differ from the norm.
