My daughter was due September 22 but was not actually born till September 30. I actually ignored the doctors calculation because I new the night I conceived, he was thinking that I was late.

I started a very light labor and did not even know it on a Saturday morning. I was ironing and was getting a cramp in my leg it took me a couple of hours to realize that this was the beginning of labor.

It did not progress very far and I went to the Mall and went shopping and everyone was freaking out because I was in labor and at the mall and we did not end up going to the hospital until midnight.

Labor had intensified a bit but it was not until 6 am that they asked if they could break my water (yes) and she did not actually deliver until 12:10pm. Start to finish it was about 29 hours - the last eight were pretty heavy.

But on the flip side same daughter having her own child first baby due Feb 4 and on Jan 4 walks into the bathroom and water breaks at 4:10 pm gets to the hospital and has that baby by 8:10 - one month early, 7.7 pounds and still had time to get drugs because the doctors thought it would take longer.

Lastly if you want it over early there is somewhere on your body that you can massage. My daughter could get a natal massage but there is somewhere on your body when massaged inducing labor and they do not ever want to be liable so they will not do that

Good Luck - perhaps you will have the baby tomorrow October 16th is a great day - it is my birthday LOL

Every woman is different and their is a chance that your due date is off by a few weeks. My first daughter came on her due date, however I went into labor two days before she finally made her appearance in the world. I started having sharp pain in my lower pelvic area, that was the only sign I had that I was going into labor. My second daughter was nine days late, I had minor back pain for four days prior, but wasn't dilating. My mucus plug came out at 12:30 the day she was born and she entered the world by three that afternoon. I am thirty-five weeks pregnant currently, and my contractions have already began without dilating. If you want to help naturally induce the process long walks, sex, and spicy food may help. Also your doctor can help by using her fingers to weaken the membranes around your cervix. Congratulations on the baby, He or she will come when ready. It's hard when you've looked forward to something for a long time and you have to keep waiting, remember most doctors won't let you go more then two weeks over nowadays so you don't have much time left at all.

It can be give or take 2 weeks difference. I have had 3 children and one on the way. My last one was 6 weeks early and labor just started with no warnings. I just started feeling very faint cramps all day long. Nothing painful though. I had him the next morning. With my first it was the day before his due date and same thing. No warning. I just woke up in the middle of the night in some horrible pain. It snuck up on me. I was induced with my 2nd. So it will happen soon probably. You dont have to necessarily feel bad before you go into labor. Good luck!

You may go into labor tomorrow, but My Doctor told me to give or take a week on the due date. Normally after a week overdue the Doctor will have your labor induced. They will monitor you and your babys heart rate & movements. Also they will monitor your contractions and a nurse will be there the whole time. Some people do have painless labor My cousins girlfriend couldn't believe she had given birth . She said Ouchie once and that was it. All she felt was a little pelvic pressure.

If you have dropped then labor should be soon. I gave birth in may. My due date was may 26, but i delivered on may 22. I was scheduled for a csection but ended up having a normal birth. Since i was already at the hospital they went ahead and induced me, but I felt everything. I knew when my water broke, which is a sign your getting closer and should probably head to the hospital. If you want a natural birth great but i highly recommend an epidural. I had one and loved it. Labor ils hard work and your body knows what to do by instinct just remember to breathe and everything will be fine. If you go over your due date talk to your dr about inducing you. but if youve dropped your time should be coming soon. Congratulations and good luck!

You could go into labour on your own, or you could go overdue. The last part of pregnancy sucks huh!!! lol. It seems to take forever, but your baby will be here before you know it. You could try to have sex, I know that put me into labour, but I was only 34 weeks! lol oops. It stopped and at 37 weeks, I too, was DONE with being pregnant, and I told my dr that, and that I wanted to be induced, he said sure, when, and we had him the following monday. Not all drs will be a kewl aboutit, I am just lucky and have a awsome dr. As much as it sucks, all you can do is wait and hope that it starts, and find comfort in knowing that for definate sure, you only have to be pregnant for 2 more weeks at the very MAX. Ask your dr at the next appt to strech your cervix, sometimes this will put you into labour within a few hours, drink red raspberry leaf tea, which is good for the uterus and may help move things along. Thats about all I can tell ya, other than I hope it happens soon for U, and make sure you post when you have the baby to let us know how it went! Good luck sista

For my first pregnancy I was due June 9. I didn't start having contraction until 9:30 on the 8th of June. I had them all night long and finally I went to the hospital at 9:00 a.m. (on the 9th) and had him at 10:18. Then with my second pregnancy I was due on November 4th. I went into labor on October 31. I had my baby on November 1st. So you can't really go by what the doctor says. It is very rare to have your baby on it's exact due date. I never felt a contraction with both until I was in labor. I hope you have your baby soon!! Congrulations!! I hope everything goes well and you have your baby soon!!

All births are different. I have 3 children, my goodness they were all different. 1st child was 5 weeks early, 2nd was 3 weeks late, and 3rd was 6 days early. BH came with only 2. Most people would probably say babies come when thier ready. I hear walking is good to start labor. I'm sure you'll get plenty of responses on this question with many different answers and experiences, just take care of yourself so not to put baby in harm, he/she will come when ready.

oh angel you poor darling i know how you feel well if the baby has fully dropped it shouldnt be too far away, often there is a mucus discarge first this is know as the plug and then sometimes your waters break and some times its just contractions a bit stronger than braxton hicks and closer together but i had a friend who had no signs at all and then all of a sudden she went to the loo to do what she thought was a pooh and she gave birth to her son so everyone is different, maybe by the time you read this answer you will be in full blown labour all i can advise is relax and it will all happen b4 you know it you will be a mummy, best of luck to you

I have had many of my friends tell me that they went 2 weeks past their due date! I was lucky and both my children were 3 weeks early! I know how you feel and when the baby feels good and ready to be born, it will! In my case, my water broke each time. But the week up to that point, I was having contractions and a horrible backache (I had back labor both times). Check in with your doctor or talk to a nurse. Good Luck and I hope your delivery goes well for you!
