I think if more were 20 and older, there would be less carnage on the road of teens killing themselves.
I know there are responsible teens out there, but the danger is always compounded due to lack of experience, car/truck full of friends, drinking, not being able to assess a risky situation and avoid it.
So I say, the later the better.

No. My best friend is 28, and just got her license about a month ago. She was in an abusive marriage, and her now ex-husband didn't allow her to drive or get her license.

It's never too old to get your license. You also just saved yourself money by waiting. Your insurance will be cheaper! I had a friend who was 26 and he didn't have his license! He didn't get it until he was 32! My Mother-in-Law never got hers, and my daughter who is turning 18 still does not have hers. She will be getting it in January (she has her permit).

You are never too old. My friend's mum got hers at 65 when her husband died and she had no one to drive her around.
