Can actor Owen Wilson actually act?

Owen Wilson does a fine job as a lovable rogue, sort of an American Hugh Grant, but has he ever "played against type" do and showed he can "stretch" himself as an actor and play other roles?

I can't stand him. It's always the same part for him. I doubt he can do anything else.

he's ok...i think he could stretch..he needs to do something different before i get tired of him
