Anatomically we have been the same species for somewhere between 250,000 to 130,000 years old (around 200,000-250,000 based on the genetic evidence but the oldest fossil yet found is 130,000 years old). Intellectually capacities we can't be sure. But since the ancestors of the Australian Aborigines split off about 70,000 years ago (based on genetics and fairly consistent with archaeology) and as a they are as intelligent as the rest of us, then you would have to say that we have been as smart as we are now for at least 70,000 years, maybe even the full 250,000 years.

From creation, we have been the same species. How long ago that was has often been discussed, but I believe it was about 6,000 years ago.

About 300,000 years before that we were monkey men, before that we were like raccoons and before that lizards, and before that fish, and before that amebas, and before that bacteria so your grand daddy was scum of the earth.
