It depends on who you ask.

For starters, the entire uproar over the silicon reaction thing has been pretty well debunked. In addition, most of the time docs use saline implants anyway.

There is some scarring, and the potential for corrective surgery down the road as gravity leaves the implants high, but the rest of the breast goes south.

And, there is the side effect of public comment should you overdo it. Like makeup, the best implants are the ones that aren't noticable as implants.

about the only long term side effect is leakage which is unusual in the long term unless you sustain an injury

most problems occur in the short tem if at all and they are complications from the body rejecting the foreign material or leakage.(not harmful with saline implants, the body absorbs the saline[salt water solution] and it is eliminated naturally ... both complications would require re-surgery to correct the problem
