You need to contact your local job centre plus but they will likely be unsympathetic to your needs because of your non-attendance. They tend to look on things as 'I'm alright Jack - I've got money, food and a warm house to go home to'. The fact your claim only ceased last week may speed things up for you - you can ask for a crisis loan while you wait. It depends on which area of KT1 youre in - if near Walton on Thames (KT12) there is a charity called Walton Charities based at The halfway which can give you money or vouchers for food etc. but you have to live in the catchment area of walton on Thames. They are really nice and look sympathetically at every case - they do not look down on you either. Good luck.

the departemtn for work and pesions has a great website explaining criteria etc for different benefits (www.dwp.gov.uk). you can also download some application forms etc from there directly. Either that or your local jobcentre+ should be able to help. good luck x

Go to DSS. They'll give you a form to re-apply, but it may be up to an adjudicator (someone who decides if you can have your money back), & you may not be lucky.
