NO! Oil pastels are made with non-drying linseed oil as a binder, and they NEVER dry - so they CANNOT be fixed. They must be framed under glass. They are like plasticine, which always remains soft.

And please don't use AquaNet on professional soft "chalk" pastel paintings either - I have seen severe and irreversible damage caused by this.

yes they do hair spary works great. Aqua net to be exact
